As the topic say's, i am not very good at fighting, but i love Valheim BIG time. I have a dream playing further, but i don't like to play with others, guess i fancy the singlelife, hihi.
Mistland is only in my fantasy, guess i'll never be good enough to go there. The point of this is; - I wish I could make an AI friend who could help me fight and cut trees, hihi. Not all wishes come true, but you can hope for it.
PS I don't want mods.

I love people who say they don't want mods, but what a large change in the game.... precious.
But, yeah, Trolls are your harvesting buddies don't you know? Some of the best clear cutters in the game.

There are many videos where people have defeated the bosses of the game naked, passive, and many other methods so perhaps watching some of them may give you some insights and options with which to beat them.

Don't give up hope. Moder is a fairly easy fight if you prepare a strategy so that any random mobs don't interfere with the actual boss fight.
The plains however can be challenging until you get a decent farm going for better food and barley wine. But if you have a lot of poison arrows and can snipe from a good distance it's doable, you just have to portal out from time to time if you pull too much.
Yagluth fight is a case of recognising his animations and hiding when necessary, in basic terms it's a lot like the second boss fight only more brutal. Again you need a strategy to stop additional mobs getting involved. There's even a very long winded strategy to stop deathsquito's interfering, involving a stakewall with additional bits added to the wall. Firespark on YT developed it to stop deathsquitos getting him during farming.
Took me over 500 hours to reach the Mistlands solo, though I do spend a fair amount of time building stuff and many deaths, so long as you keep your bow skill and weapons of choice around 50 you should be ok. Mistlands you going to want running and jumping around 50 too.

If you have died a bunch or manage to die successively in a manner that does reduce your skill points it is best to take your time and focus to level your critical ones to achieve the necessary results for the biomes you find yourself in, make a chest full of wood arrows and go to the meadows to slay everything, do that with your weapons and your shield for block, always keep an eye on your Rested buff and your food buffs, I recommend 2 stamina foods and a health food so you can chain more attacks after a good block as well as run and jump more and swim a bit longer, move up in biomes only when skills and gear are up to snuff, having surplus foods never hurts so you can stack the mats to make that while leveling skills in the easy biomes

Some folks like fast food and others prefer to linger and savor the experience. Valheim has plenty to satisfy both sets of customers.

There are ways of cheesing Moder and Bonemass if you want to progress. I won't list them here, but rest assured you can beat them even with low combat skill if you know a few tricks and exploitable game mechanics.

One more piece of advice: stop dying. You lose 5% of your skill points each time you keel over, unless it was within 10 minutes of the last time you keeled over.
Ways to not die:
Always have 3 food buffs, with none of them flashing. The increased health and stamina you receive from the food you eat decays over time; it's close to 50% of the buff at 10% duration; ie when a 10 minute food is down to 1 minute. You can eat the same food again when you've had the buff for half the duration, which allows you to keep higher health and stamina for more of the time.
Upgrade your weapons and armor as much as you can. Unlike skills, equipment doesn't lose the work you put into it when you die. The extra damage and durability is well worth the material investment; it's important to upgrade your workbench/forge/cauldron etc as soon as you can.
Stay rested. The rested buff grants 50% health regen, 100% stamina regen, 50% XP gain, and 100% Eitr (mana) regen. If you are currently resting, it adds another 200% health regen and 300% stamina regen, so rest as often as you can; any time you can drop a campfire under a roof, you can be resting. Troll caves, burial chambers, and even crypts give shelter, so drop a campfire in any and all of those when you go in... just watch the smoke.
Only sprint when you have to. Same for swimming. Stamina is a resource, in this game, and you should treat it as such. Conserve it as much as possible, so when you need to, you can tear off across the landscape to get away from the bigbad you wandered around the corner into... or block that big hit.
Speaking of blocking, use a shield. Not only does it decrease damage, but if you time the block properly, you can parry most enemies. Parrying causes them to get stunned and knocked back, at which point you can step forward and smack 'em with a guaranteed crit. hit 'em a couple times before they recover, and you can stun them again. You can take out surprisingly large targets with a stagger/crit/crit/stagger/crit combo.

If you can spin an atgeir and use a bow, you can do the mountains. I never really trained up my parry skill because of that whole half-second-off-means-ow thing. Atgeir stuns things without having to worry about it, but you've got to eat your stamina foods.
Moder is a little trickier for those who are not combat savvy, but there are guides and Youtube videos that can help. Moving terrain and/or placing campfires to prevent wolves and golems from joining in is a good idea.

I stopped after Yalguth after dying endlessly. If I play this game again, it's gotta be with some people that are gods at the game
My friend is good but I don't want to be a burden on him
I'm kind of decent at parrying but I don't like it because I could die in three hits fully geared if I miss the timing. I'd rather engage enemies afar with the bow. That's about it. Or if they're easy enemies I'll chop them up with the dagger

You can get AI friends. Both friendly ones (not gonna spoil, but its a bit further still unfortunately) and less friendly, like a troll. Trolls are great for cutting down lots of trees or digging copper. They only understand guestures thou, "roll" means dig here. :P
You can also tame creatures... boars are proud and go wherever they please, but wolves can be set to follow you around (not through portals thou).
But yeah good luck.

Nice, so I (and a friend of mine) aren't the only noobs. We read about people completing the game in roughly 70 hours. We called ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Combined playtime of 300 hours and we couldn't even handle Bonemass (tho tbf, we spent ALOT of time building and grinding to be able to build, rather than upgrade gear).
Anyway, good luck out there. You're not alone (even though you apparently prefer that, so, sorry ;P)

I just started playing again after spending minutes in the game a year ago. :) I read about the updates and expanded territory, and thought I'd give it another chance. I also am playing alone, though I hope that changes in the near future.

Grind skillpoints on your melee and bows. Upgrade armor and weapons. Get healing potions and stamina regen potions. Make sure you have bail out plan, and make sure you're never running in blind. If things smell like danger - take extra precautions. As the topic say's, i am not very good at fighting, but i love Valheim BIG time.
