@Dev Are you serious? Do you realize?

An important thing to note is that the Mistlands biome will only generate in areas you have not yet discovered. Therefore, if you have explored a lot of your world, you might be better off starting a new one in order to actually be able to travel to the Mistlands.........

Lmao Raft. Raft procedurally generates PARTS OF the world and the rest is 100% the same, in static locations, every single time you start a new game. Every important location will be in the same spot.

That is how Raft manages to put things in, they left the map completely open because the only things generated are the shark, the birds, floating debris, and the floating raft wrecks.

Honestly mate, if you want to throw a fit while pretending you have some developmental insight, you should at least understand how your own example functions. Just admit you haven't a clue and you can't be arsed to play the entire progression again on a new world. You'll be respected more for your honesty.

Shushijaguar, if you want to offend then go write elsewhere. If, on the other hand, you have problems understanding then that's your business. Raft is a game that I largely finished, so I don't know if you know it well. You obviously didn't quite understand what I said. Raft was a partially finished game (now it's finished) and no matter how much you visit, when it's time to start a new part of the adventure this could well be reconnected to the previous one. The system, however random, allowed later patches to hook you to previous ones. And I repeat it was also a random biome generator that depended, if you didn't know, on the island you were visiting in the story. But you can find out more about this, or see the video tutorials I made on youtube. Now let's talk about Valheim, it wasn't necessary to implement in the old versions, territories that once discovered were burned by later versions. You simply didn't put them on the map or once the patch came out, you filled them with new content, even if you've already visited it.
And try to be more polite next time...
@Danson, no I don't have any mods that unlocked all area, just exploration trivia. And I'm just sorry because, I repeat, they could have implemented the new contents in the existing maps or, as I already said, in the maps you didn't insert areas that you would have had to build later.

This, or do you want explored area to by overwritten by new biomes? Imagine you lose your bases and outposts like this

the question is: why did you missed the info given by the devs that the new biomes are generated when you discover them and NOT if you allready have them discovered

why did you notice this right now? scince it was the same a while ago when they finished the plains

they told us allready, so no reason for uprising right now - the game is still under development

Lol who tf explored so much of the EMPTY biomes that they're no longer able to generate them? I get people being irritated at mountain caves because there was a reason to be in the mountains before, but there's really no excuse for running through any more than a small fraction of Mistlands and preventing it from being populated.

MR RED, I don't discover this problem now, it was the same for the caves too.
But do you know how it is? You always hope that the Developers realize the wrong choice and in later versions implement the possibility of using the new biomes in the already existing ones. I don't know about you, but personally starting all over again after building and visiting a lot means playing the same game twice. ok early game, but take for example Raft, a beautiful game, also in early access, which gave the possibility to play the following patches starting from the previous one and not losing any of the progress already made. Many other games allow you to do this.
However, it is useless to dwell too much on the question. I certainly won't finish it, much to my displeasure, also because I found it beautiful, instead people like you will surely decide to start it many times because it doesn't create problems for them, in fact I read some comments from players who have done it many times to discover different maps...

You're missing the point, you don't need to start over... you just need to discover NEW Mistlands biomes if you've been to the EMPTY Mistlands previously. Mistlands is not as common as Black Forest or the other biomes, and it only starts appearing pretty far from the center of the map.

Have you actually TRIED to go to Mistlands on your existing world? Or did you use a map reveal command and now you're mad at the devs because you ruined your map?
