This game needs official steam workshop for mods now. Not Later.

Having to waste so much time after each patch to fix mods with Servers and FTP programs and so on. I shouldn't have to spend 8+ hours every update to try to get things situated with my dedicated servers.

Please just allow modders to upload their mods to a workshop. Will make things so much easier for everyone.

Then it won't matter how long you take to make this game. Take all the time you want just give us steam workshop mods.

I've got near 1000 hours in this game and about to quit for stuff like this. It ruins the game. And for all those vanilla people that got under 400 hours I don't care what you have to say. After you play 500+ hours you want to use mods to keep the replay value up.

Me too and does not let me use the game pad and in the controller display menu all the controller buttons are assigned to secondary attack... so weird

I have 30 mods installed by the way... not sure if that's the cause

And what about us vanilla people that have more hours than you do?

How does that fit your narrative?

That's good if your still not bored with more options. Mods help give replay value to games like this.

So does creativity.

You must realize how foolish it sounds to expect them to release mod support before they're even done crafting the base game, right? You act like your decision to mod the game is something they have suggested doing. They haven't. It's a pain because of your use of mods, not because they're at fault. Come back when the game is released if it still doesn't have workshop support.

I'm sure the devs are thrilled people make it to 1k hours before quitting their relatively small game. Don't expect them to treat it like a live service game like Activision or EA. They're not going to.

It could be 3 years before they "finish" the game.

Ark did, but then again, mods are it's bread and butter.

I don't really see how a Steam workshop would get the mod creators to update any faster or do anything that a mod manager like Vortex doesn't already do. Everyone who uses mods should know that they do so at their own risk and that updates can, and probably will, break their mods at least temporarily. It's a known risk, not just for this game but for any game that you mod, including those with a Steam workshop. You're frustrated, but that kind of thing goes beyond what the devs, should be worrying about.

Hi... I found though for now that the mod causing the issues with loading a Beta main sceen instead of the official was Jotun mod and they have just updated https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/1138?tab=files

They don't need to do anything faster. They can take all the time they want.

Just give us workshop.

Agree, Steam Workshop would be great. It's not as if they haven't already had enough of our money.

Mod support wouldn't effect you though...

If you want a vanilla experience, don't subscribe to any mods.

It wouldn't be any different than it is right now expect you give people even more reason to purchase the game off of Steam who are interested in community content.

I think they're kinda bananas for not including Workshop support. Other than there is some kind of overhead with it that they don't want to deal with.

Community driven content is a good thing. This weird reluctancy for Workshop support, even by the community itself is insane to me.
