Every map is different, where you set up your base is entirely up to you and the map you are on. I'd advise keeping it in the meadows and near a river or the ocean. Or are you asking more for screenshots so you can get an idea of what other people build so you got something to go on with your own builds?

The world is procedurally generated and completely different every time you generate a new world. So there is not really a point to show you where my bases are on a map. It will be different for you.
