Yea, getting raided by them in the Plains is the best thing.

this obviously doesn't apply to wolves, but my goal with construction is sort of trivializing events to the point that they're all just an opportunity to farm mats.. if i can locate the construction where multiple biomes meet, so the monsters are actively farming each other nearby, then it's free mats all day and all night just for building in a bad neighborhood..

Bonemass power. That's it. Just keep bonemass power on standby and power through.

Still building myself the paddle set, not too happy about it because the worse times I've spent on the game were wearing the heavy sets, and would rather not spend the rest of the game wearing speed reduction armor for the sake of being ready for one umpredictable event.

If it feels the same tas Silver set... rather try my chances with Fenris set instead of Silver or Paddle, not going back to those again unless Boss fights.

The event doesn't always trigger where as a breeder is consistent. That's about the primary difference for the resources you mention.

If you can separate them and get them 1v1, its almost impossible to die to a wolf provided you have a shield that can parry.
Listen next time one attacks you, as its about to do its attack it does a very distinctive snarl. Every time you hear that snarl, press the parry button and you will parry it 100%.

I have to disagree. I've built several breeders on this seed, and I get far more pelts, meat, and fangs than I know what to do with. Heck, I'm thinking about carpeting several rooms in nothing but wolf pelts.

My strategy:

Best armor, shield, sword, Bonemass power, good HP and stamina food, keep your back to a wall or stand on a rock. Tah-Dah! Haven't been taken out by the wolves in a long time.

If you're lucky, you'll be by a swamp, village or a tarpit. Then you can watch all the fun.

I always carry black metal axe with me (who wouldn't?), and it does very commendable job at killing wolves as they come with a single direct blow. The biggest danger is that the invasion occur unexpectedly when exploring in biomes that are already dangerous. But yeah, that wolf meat is really useful ever since Hearth & Home update. :)
