Not built one yet but I have a round tower in Mistlands and intend to put one at the centre of the roof. I can drop from a cliff to get to the top. I'm wondering if they will shoot those flying things that drop crap on me (forgot what they are called) Gyill?

I'd use ballista for something like crowd control against seekers and bats, but I haven't tried them at all yet myself. How you put them to use probably depends most on what kind of base setup you have. If you rarely visit outside of a wall for example, then that could be good spot for one.

The devs said its men to shoot you, but there a mod out, making it not shoot you.

I just imagine that only works as sentry guns inside of moats to kill anything that falls in ... Or dead places where you never gonna walk ...
