That was going to be my first guess that it was too close to his bubble which interferes with various things.

There are a few good videos too for breeding tames as with that small pen you're going to encounter some other limits(they'll stop breeding if more than 5 or so are so close). There are some really good pen examples with the breeding stalls set above to help keep the pig breeding(or wolf or lox depending on the set up) pretty much consistently ongoing.

My pen is capable of 12 or 13 boars til they stop breeding. I check from time to time if they reach the limit, then cut the population in half so they go on breeding. There are more effective ways of boar farms (check utube), but I find it more imersive to have a small pen with my piggies 🐷...
Still need to find 1 or 2star pigs to get more meat out of my farm.

Can you take a picture of your breeding pen specifically please and show us? There could be multiple different reasons why they'll not do so.

Wounded boars regen when they are fed... and you have to have them fed in order for them to breed...

Don't make your boar's holding pen too small. Boar will only breed when their environment is large enough to support an increase in their population. Find or push 2 boar fairly close together then throw down a sufficient stack of foodstuffs, at least one item each (food should be in small stacks, as this will make boar come close to one another to feed, close proximity to one another triggers the breeding mechanism). The only enjoin coitus after each has eaten and is happy. As long as they are not agitated, have fed and are happy they will breed, even with a diminished health pool. Often time after eating, an injured boar's health pool will restore itself completely, the odd time it will only restore a portion, rarely it will appear as if they gained little or no health. They will breed, and can produce offspring even with a less than full health pool. This applies to boar, lox & wolves.
