Find that little patch and build a spike wall, and a trench/moat and or earthen wall around it. Then laugh at them. You've got a captured Troll and grey dwarfs in the center of the relatively safe meadows! Consider the glass HALF FULL (not half empty).

Build cool tree house that looks down into the enclosure and start charging admission.

There are solutions to nearly everything in Valheim.

To build a spike wall or an earthen wall one would first need to build a workbench. A moat is a non-starter without a pickaxe. If the patch of Black Forest is that small, the workbench will prevent anything from spawning.

If you want a captured Troll or shaman, or greydwarf brute, build the spike wall or an earthen wall. Just don't forget to destroy the workbench.
