It seems that every time someone doesn't like how this game is going, they default to "this game is slowly getting abandoned" or "it's dead". I remember when World of Warcraft, The Burning Crusade came out, tens of thousands of players bashed the expansion saying the game was dying. Yet, the game received a total of 8 expansions, 7 after TBC. If that's your idea of "dead" or "abandonment", I wonder what a game like Tabula Rasa is then? Valheim is being worked on. Check the news and announcements. Current version is v0.206.5, with content being developed for the Mountain biome, and Mislands biome coming out later this year. The game has received 26 updates since February 2021: https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Version_History

That only depends on how far the developers themselves intend on taking it and when they consider the game as complete, they will move on. They aren't required to let you know when they are done with the game. it could be by the end of this year or a few years from now, the point is that even though you may have heard it all before, it doesn't make the point less valid that one day it will happen.

For now, enjoy what is going on, because it won't come around again.
