Sitting up close to a monitor in a dark room versus sitting comfortably on the couch in a decently-lit room would be my guess. Computer chair versus comfy couch explains the back strain. Desk height is a factor in wrist strain as well. And practically nobody uses a truly ergonomic computer mouse.
