Trying to relocate star boars tamed near a Boar Rune, is a lesson in futility. Trust me, I have learned after 1000's of hours of playing, the only thing to do is to actually build an enclosure around the rune. I do not bother taming anything less than 2 stars for livestock. If tamed near a rune I will breed them there and relocate their 2 star offspring.
