Incredibly, a serpent spawned close to the shore as I was approaching my plains outpost. I did not care much for scales but I thought more meat would be useful later on. I went ashore and as I was preparing for the fight, a 'squito turned up and started hitting the serpent in these shallow waters. I was grinning ear to ear the whole time and ended up delivering the final shot and collecting both the scales and the meat. Fun lil encounter that made my day.
