Nice I will have to check that out. Could be a good way to keep them from jamming up against the walls in my dirt pens. I don't know if this is common knowledge. I accidentally discovered that boars will roam around to places where there is grass, and they will avoid areas that have been tamped bare with a hoe.
I have a pretty good sized pig ranch that sort of stretches around my main house. One day I noticed that all the boars had been gathered for days up at one end. That end was full of grass while the other end was totally barren. So I went around and did some re-seeding, and the boars have all spread out again.
No kidding! They also occasionally appear to like higher ground but that could just be subjective observation on my part. Worth doing some experiments.
