Collect all the iron in the sunken crypt into a chest near the crypt entrance. Take back as much as you can carry to your nearby house. Then go get the rest. Once you have loaded your house up with a shipload of scrap iron, then plan a longship or cart trip back to your main base. Or just make your nearby base fully functional with a smelter and forge. Lots of options.
