Just to add to the arrow discussion, I've found that once you're able to craft the Draugr Fang bow, you can mostly stick with wood arrows. They require the least amount of materials and are effective enough on almost anything. You do NOT ever need to craft flint arrows, iron arrows, silver arrows, or poison arrows. Frost arrows are great on anything that's wet. They work well in the swamp and are the best for hunting sea serpents. Fire arrows work okay on Growths and Lox (and any type of greydwarf) but aren't critical for those. Needle arrows do the most pierce damage and you'll get a LOT of needles from Deathsquitos in the Plains so feel free to have those too... for extra punch.
