And pausing the world is viking style? A magical lightning-powered item destroying box is viking style? Or an eternal mining lamp? Or a magical belt that expands your carry weight? Shall I go on? :)
It cracks me up when people complain about quality-of-life gameplay suggestions since "it doesn't seem realistic", lol.
There should really be some way to maintain inventory while adventuring without just tossing stuff on the ground. Especially where we have such a limited inventory, with no alternative for expanding it. Once you have your tools/weapons, armour, food & a stack of arrows, you're left with 15 empty slots. If you're crossing multiple biomes while exploring, that fills wayyy too quickly.
Heck... maybe add backpacks as a craftable item for a "realistic" alternative, with tiers based on pelt level adding more slots (board, deer, wolf, etc). We're swimming in crates of hides with no useful purpose in late game.
You're already wearing a backpack.. how do you think you're carrying so much crap?
This isn't a QOL suggestion, it's a "make the game 'easier' for me" suggestion. They not only gave you a way of destroying items, but it generates coal as well. I was happy with having to take trash out to sea and dump it in the ocean, but having a gift from the gods works too.
Removing annoying mechanics that don’t contribute to the core gameplay loop is definitely considered QOL. Not sure why you think they shouldn’t add it
