I used a ton of mods and devcomands. Went looking in the swamps for a surtling spawner to top up my core supply. Set the weather to 'clear' so it wasn't invisible, and the time of day to .5 (noon) so there was no rush. Then when I had some metal to bring home, I plopped a portal and brought my metal through it. I didn't see any abominations yesterday, but they can't climb onto crypts, so last time I riled one I just plinked him safely with cheap fire or wood arrows. Took a million, but he never touched me.

I had fun, But what you described doesn't sound fun. And I don't think you'd be here humblebragging about it if you weren't on the fence.

The game is a LOT more fun with adjustments.

Go god mode. Kill the abomination, get your stuff back. Play on.
