I got lucky with my map. Good sized island with a sheltered river area for my boat. Clear cut the forest, removed the rocks, smoothed out a hilltop and built on top then the surrounding area is covered in workbenches. Is it ugly? Yeah, kinda. 0 attacks on my island but I do have to check 1 side as the benches can still be broke by something but never seen what. Benched up the small sliver island to create a barrier of sorts from the main landmass. Did this to a spot I put a home on to just have somewhere nice and to a Plains island for 100s of wheat.
