it's vertically long, not so much horizontally, though it is not just a skinny stretch of land but instead a decent run to the oceans on the east and west.

this was a seed me and my friend first started on, and since i knew basics of the game, i let him know that most likely we would have to venture out from the starting island to see different biomes........ i was wrong. (luckily later boss spawns force you to eventually leave).

every biome that matters right now is in it (only missing north and south but there isnt anything there anyways so no loss, though it was mighty close to including them as well).

shop keeper spawns are on it as well (one to the south of spawn, one to the east), we got the bottom one.

the first 3 bosses are available on it (though the bonemass one i dont consider for normal purposes, as the top half of the island is gated via walking through a large stretch of plains, so you would have to boat around it, at which point you could just boat to another island to fight him so it kinda ruins the point. (however, that top half is where you will find a healthy mistlands section)

the mountains are large enough to have frost caves, but not many (unless you plan to go the the southern most part, which involves crossing 2 large 'shallows' gaps which is pretty unreasonable to cross without a boat due to it being in swamps - and then that large mountain is surrounded by plains). so i would recommended if hunting for frost caves to start exploring elsewhere (especially for the fenris armor).

unless your speedrunning or boss rushing, you can reasonably stay on this island for a really long time.
