There are so many things that should and could be easily added to tide people over while they wait for actual content, like alternate skins for existing building materials, alternate models for existing weapons, alternate skins for existing armors or dyes for existing armors...you got a little taste of that with the silver shield and black metal shield which had alternate patterns and colors.
