Happened to me, too on my first playthrough. I was sad to lose my two star boar, but lesson learned. Simply putting a roof over their pen before going to fight Bonemass will prevent your piggies from getting blown over. But no way of knowing your first time :/

On the bright side, you're about to unlock foods that will significantly decrease the amount of boar meat you go through.
