Except they're needed to create anti-poison potions as well; so when having to kill the entire neck population (50+ at my island) to get just 10 tails, things don't seem right.

Only thing that's helping a bit is killing the higher tiers.
Single star offer a guaranteed 2 tails, double stars offer a guaranteed 4 tails. Which may be enough to get enough potions going.

Them respawn bro , and not take too much time for that
And the only use after BF is for anti poison me/ad and only use 1 for 6 potions
Them arent limited AT ALL , if u hunt deers you can see little necks annoyying u , or just shore any meadows u have in your map
