There is nothing to fix. You said it: "it's in Early Access". Everything developers do while their app is in Early Access or Alpha, are considered placeholders. Ever been to the far north or deep south? You can go there, but they are empty.

These feature tidbits, lack of optimisation, lack of a pause feature, and 500 other Quality-Of-Life features may be implemented in due time. People have been reporting on these since they released it last year. Search the forums. You will certainly find a long thread of merged requests about the Pause function and you will also find another few threads about losing Rest.

"Fixing" something would mean a feature has been implemented and isn't working as intended. So until they implement the feature and function, there isn't anything to fix. They are all placeholders for things to come.
