Thunderstore is easier to manage for me. I get my texture mod from Nexus though. I prefer the Thunderstore because it's easy and I've been using that set of websites (cursed and now overwolf) for several games for several years. Nexus mods has always had a bit of a bad rep. First with terms telling uploaders they no longer owned their mods and also a couple of data breaches.
