Never claimed they spawned on meadows, second boss is in black forest and yes, mozzies are on plains, usually near the shoreline i am exploring by boat :P And that was the point. Something as pathetic as mozzies should be on an easier biome (with matching damage), replaced with something more intimidating looking for the plains.

Thanks, i'll try that next time i am ambushed by one :) I have been too busy freaking out when i see them to try killing them :/

Oy. My apologies, I misunderstood what you said.

In any case, I get the panic entirely well, me and my mate had similar issues when we first got introduced to those lovely critters. But yeah, they have practically no defense and extremely low HP, so if you can nail them, they die fast - they're the epitome of glass cannons in Valheim.
