I mean, the mist is a right pain in the ass, but it's all still head and shoulders above my experience with the swamp.
I hate the swamp with a passion due to the issues I have with visibility; it's too damn dark, even during the day a lot of the time. So much so that the transition into the mountains is a massive relief, since I can still see surprisingly well, even in the dark in the mountains.
Compared to that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the mistlands, is hardly as bad, sometimes the mist even lifts in large areas during morning and twilight. Plus, with a bit of planning you can seed a bunch of those wisp torches across an area to clear the fog for as long as they're up; I'm still pondering how to keep the mobs off of them indefinitely though.
Most of the time I can navigate without too much issue, though I have had some hectic scrambles to get back through a base portal before nightfall sets in completely.
Granted, I'm also pretty miserable at night in general until I can find haldor for a circlet.
