No new biomes have been added since the release of the game.
After the Hearth and Home update, no new content has been added either.
Of all the new content for the year, we only have the unfinished Hearth and Home update.

Mate I started this when it was first available and yes there was some changes made before heart n home that required people to use new worlds seeds to take advantage of it, I simply dont remember what it was though if it was a new biome or new structures or somesuch...its been awhile.
