You have a valid point. There are details to this game that are hard to figure out on your own. I once watched a YouTube series where a guy must have played a hundred hours before he realized that he could repair his stuff instead of making new stuff.I disagree, since some realy important aspects of the game are not explained. Play the game and find out. I say that in the kindest way. The game is best entered into blind. Enjoy the discoveries. :)
Some important things to know OP;
- You dont need any food or water to survive at all.
- Food is only needed to increase HP, Stamina, and health regeneration.
- You wont die nor take any damage or debuffs from not eating, nor is sleep needed at all.
There are buffs and benefits in the game that you might want to explore, but i wont spoil them for you ;)
I myself played over 2000 hours before I found out that I wasn't really running and how to do it (Someone told me.) It also took me a long time to figure out how to access the skills list (discovered that myself.) I had no clue about running. I thought I WAS running when apparently I was just switching between walking slow and walking fast. I'd see others in videos who were able to run faster and jump higher and chalked that up to my sub-par computer. I had no idea that I was missing something.
On the whole, I think it is more enjoyable to discover these things for yourself. It's much more satisfying. YouTube's Lawla Leyshon [] is a good example. She is "learning the game by playing the game and comments from you guys." She's enjoying the heck out of it. I enjoy watching her speculate on how things work and, more often than not, she guesses correctly. Figuring things out is half the fun in this game.
So I'd advise a newbie that if there was something you don't understand to keep poking at it to see if you can figure it out and only google up the answer after you've worn your brain to the bone.
