Well that is not the issue here. The thing is that it seams I don't do any actual damage, just get xp from the hits. My skill level is now raised to 53, so I have put in several hundreds of hits, and the lox doesn't even flinch an eye.
It could be that there is a distance limit to when range weapons do any damage, but you still get xp from hits. If so, that is either a bug or a not so good game design.
Anyway, I am not able to make poison arrows. Have yet to fight the elder, and have not been in the swamp or the mountain biome. I am planning to go to the swamp now, but still looking for a swamp area with a border to a meadows area.
