In the first half an hour I've made my little house and beat the Eikthyr, spent some time upgrading to bronze while searching for the elder and that's about it. PRETTY SAD.

Thats the entire point of randomly generated worlds, its different everytime. I spent 8 hours looking for the trader on my seed while it was literally on the island right next to my original spawn island. My point is that the bosses are not hard to find at all, the only boss that is considered 'hard' to find is the 4th but once you know what exactly to look for its not hard. You're not having a bug but rather you're just unlucky. Try starting a different world
