I'll give that a shot and report back when I can!

The first tree is on one side of the canal, but a branch at the top of the mast height extends almost the whole way across, with a spur branch making the mast slot in to the V pretty much no matter which way you steer.

A second is a fallen tree that arches across the channel I dug. I should've looked into it more but I wasn't expecting the mast to have collision, I don't know why, lol.
