My best base was on top of a Yagluth Altar where I managed to get two Lox up for a drop lox breeding farm. Ended up having like 20 lox wandering around for the subsequent Yagluth fights where the base ended up getting absolutely pummeled and all lox dying (team did a few single fights then a few doubles for the challenge).

Most interesting base would be one that I made in a plains area surrounded by mountains with just a bit of that biome jutting into the plains area. Made a neat tunnel system underneath some of the plains boulders which led to the upper parapet and eventually a small fort on the hilly mountain biome spot.

Safest base was one just off shore an island that I had to swim to. Two floor sea hovel that didn't see any raids - perhaps drakes could've spawned in but I didn't get that raid. I found a small spit of lands that I terraformed a little to make it.

Current project involves an Elder Altar that I found on top of a hill next to some water. Hollowed out underneath the altar and built a large room on top with some nice stairs leading up to the 2nd floor (the altar itself) and then a tunnel system that leads to the bay below where I'll eventually set up a dock.
