Requimatic replied to Frostner before Bonemass? October 20, 2021 @ 7:25:08 am PDT
Ayy, good replies, thanks all!
I'm not particularly worried about fighting Bonemass that I want Frostner to do so, I was more or less curious if the investment would be worth it for the fight, and then for early Mountain progression. I was honestly more interested in crafting the Wolf Cape or chest armor early so I didn't have to deal with Frost Resistance Meads later. Guess that's kind of a moot point, though, since I need them to explore there anyway, hah.
I actually checked out a couple Mountains on my seed. One was so small it couldn't even spawn Mountain mobs, and the other I went to, which was large enough to do so, gave me a bit of a heads up as to what to expect when I do spend a lot of time there.
Everything went pretty well until I got caught with my pants down at night by a starred Wolf + a non-starred buddy of his. For anyone at this same point that's curious, a fully-upgraded set of Iron Armor + Iron Buckler/Mace (also fully upgraded) is enough to handle non-starred Wolves pretty readily. A hit from one does ~14 damage.
The starred one, though.. 34+ damage. Stagger was also an issue trying to deal with both. :)
I imagine this situation is why the Bonemass power is handy to have when exploring Mountains.
