Excuse my ingenuity, I'm not a native locutor. Can you (or someone) explain the play of words? I like drinking perry (pear cider) when I can (or lighty fermented apple/pear/grape juice), and the closest word I get for "buke" is related to puking after ingesting some replacement opioid.

This feature could have been rendered by another mean, nonetheless, like drinking some herbal tea or chewing some bitter berries, and no puking involved (neither visual nor evocation). Currently, it's a bit like the belching (and puking) contest in Guild Wars 2: just out of place, for my taste (but in GW2's case, I suspect it's because of laws prohibiting promotion of alcohol use in wide-audience video games).
