No matter what you do someone is going to complain. The best thing to do is do what will make the least amount of people to complain.

Which would mean making the game so easy and the player so OP that they feel awesome.

However, then they will complain about a lack of content because they blew through it (like most do here), or complain that the game is boring (because it's too easy).
