Fully upgraded Fenris is amazing. You just zoom around everything. Even fast enemies like wolves and deathsquitos can't keep up with you.

Heavy armor is a trap with the way the game is balanced (shield > resists > armor). You only need enough armor to not get staggered through a shield block.
