And this is where many people veer off course. Without doing any research, just making baseless speculations and basically accusing the devs of being some combination of lazy, incompetent, or greedy. It makes an otherwise reasonable post appear entitled and whiny, then others chime in to explain why they're wrong, which in turn causes THEM to be labeled as fanbois blindly defending devs, etc and before you know it the thread is locked/merged and nothing productive comes of it.

They are not "resting on their laurels." the information is out there as to what they're doing and why things are taking longer than they originally planned.
