I was having regular crashes with the unity error popping up and the only thing I found to fix it was to start a brand new world seed and character (I also family shared the game to a new acct, but not sure if this was necessary). I know this prolly isn't the answer you're looking for, but I had about 100 hours and a dozen crashes my first playthrough, and since I started new, I've played about 250 hours with zero crashes.
