if I remember correctly the devs actually stated that they encourage people to use mods so everyone can enjoy the game
If they did i'd also like to see the Quote please!

Game design 101 for small teams "if you can get the community behind you they will do a chunk of work for you!"

Obviously there is Q&A and some Mods cant make the cut as they compromise some area the Devs know HAS to remain as it for later progress etc etc. But the Mods folks make show a good idea where the community feeling is in game direction.

A "World refresh" achieved my the very Excellent Upgrade world Mod OUGHT to be in the settings of the game! That way we'd skip all issues of having loads of folks on along running server if the admins did a refresh one per (time period of choice)

On a world that was started PRE mist lands Upgrade World has One "Gotcha" that the author warns about: You can refresh the biome(s) as is no problem . But if you want to redistribute the Biome spread as happened when Smoglands turned up then doing that COULD overwrite some player structures on the edges of affected Biomes - You know the very areas a lot of us use to make bases.

The wife and I had a Base in the Black forest a few hundred scale meters from the edge of what was the Mistlands placeholder. And all that remains of it are the front Gate the rest was swallowed up by a mistland Hill....! But even then all our materials largely floated to the surface of the new Hill so we rebuild a bit further away later...
