Gear is nothing. You have that back in no time. Go kill some trolls with a lvl 1 crude bow and wood arrows. Takes about 20 to down one. Make yourself troll armor, upgraded flint axe, upgraded wooden shield, and you're set.

I assume your base is still there and that is the most important part. You still got supplies, hopefully a full set of workbenches and your smelter. You should be back in the game quickly.

Edit: Since you were talking about frost resistance potions I assume you probably may even have some troll armor and bronze weapons lying around. You've got all you need! Time for some payback!
