Well...if you are on a remote island and your ship disappears, I am certainly not mining Bronze for 1 hour the make the nails for a new ship and sail again to that island. If things become THAT tedious, I won't do it.

There is a fine line between grind (ok) and super tedious which is not fun in any way anymore.
