A stack of carrots will do with some razzle dazzle berries for dessert and then you hang about within 60 meters till tamed. Takes a couple in game days. No fires of any kind around them. Eventually you will see a green heart beam out of them and that shows they are in the taming process. If you leave the area, it stops. If they get scared again not sure what it does but not helpful. I had one boar that never would tame so I killed it and started over. The next one was fine. Do not show yourself to them until their bar is green.

The boar's alert radius is 6 meters. The easy way to solve your problem is to build an animal enclosure (ideally a covered barn of some type) that is at least 6 meters by 6 meters. Fence the barn's yard in with stakes walls or rails that are at least 6 meters away from the barn and then build work benches to make sure the area the boars are in is covered so that monsters can't spawn in (you can hide the workbench in the ceiling of the barn) and keep your self and all sources of fire (and light) outside your stake walls or rails until the boars are tamed.

good news. I smashed down all torches and made sure the pen was away from fire sources. Then I crouched behind a wall and alt-tabbed for a few hours. When I came back they were tamed.
