See I'm in the camp bows are not op, they take ammo, and my bow skill is int he 70s, have you ever hunted a lox with a bow? They are weak to piercing and it takes a while, meanwhile, my spear skill is 62, and I can go party a lox, stagger it, hit it 3 times, it staggers again from high damage, 4 more stabs and it's dead, before it can even hit me :D


Bows are in my experience are safer yes, but not always faster, just convenient, until you run out of arrows ;D
