Atgeir or especially a spear really works wonders on being hunted events.

Even if you can't build up high enough so they can't follow, as w/ OP strategy, you can build up just a bit to get to slightly higher ground (or just find natural higher ground; rock or even a slope will do) with the above weapons and you're gold.

Once you get used to the event or just have a bit better armor, you can take them all out w/ spear or atgeir easily on the ground.
