It depends on why you quit the first time. If you quit because you killed the available bosses in the game and got bored, then id wait until mistlands.

If you are more of a builder, we did get new stuff to build and do around the base like expanded cooking with the overhaul of how food now works. We also got some new building pieces.

Some small stuff has been added to the swamps and plains.

Personally im waiting for the cave update (new cave dungeon in the mountain biome) that should drop any day now.
