"Realistic" - I don't know about you - but I can use a hammer for several years before needing a new one. Having to repair tools every half hour and dragging resources around your storage an inventory to do so is not realistic - its tedious and doesn't add anything to the game but a layer of extra work. It makes a little more sense in a pvp centric title like Ark, where resource balancing is more important - but it brings nothing worthwhile to the table in Valheim.
