I felt like getting back to my base was achievable and I liked the challenge. I messed up a few hours later and basically ended in a situation where my stuff was unrecoverable by myself so I decided to cheese it then, only after making three separate attempts to recover my stuff. At some point you just have to admit you screwed up and bite the cheese
