Later you can make Portals, but will need Fine wood, Dwarf Eyes, Surfin Cores. The cores are in burial chambers in Dark Woods and Fine wood is mainly gotten with Bronze Axes that you will need a Pick to mine copper/tin for from the first boss Anklers
