I know lack of content is a typical complaint in gaming recently and I dont think Valheim suffers from a lack of content however I do feel Valheim suffers from a lack of new content. It's been a while since I had played and although I am a fan I can't find myself hoping back in for new food recipes and some building changes. There are many new games coming out this fall that'll grab a lot of attention and once attention is grabbed it's less likely players return to another games, especially survival. I had hoped Valheims development speed would have increased with the amount of sales and the massive amount of interest but one of the biggest conflicts I have is if I want a survival, building, & crafting game with regular updates and new content Minecraft is the best better choice, yes Minecraft has way more funds, bigger team, & crazy mod support, while also looking at 7Days which updates pretty regularly. What I really need are regular updates that keep me from trying something else because I find it hard to recommend a game I am not currently playing where I'd rather recommend the game I plan to play or am currently invested in. I play Minecraft regularly even as a side game because the experience can be different every time which isn't true about Valheim, sure progression could be slower or I could do my one hardcore rules.
