I'm just speculating that more building pieces means more memory is persistently being used, even when the pieces aren't built. I can't think of much other reason for why it would be difficult to add something that is more or less a reskin of something that they have already made.

I'm not saying that you definitely should get a mod just to get one building piece, but the people who use Valheim+ seem to have the right idea.
